"Taxes are Everyone's Business"
Come and learn about the complex tax laws and questions many of us have about preparing taxes, including the tax rates, the new taxes from The Affordable Care Act, and expanded credits for children, education and retirement savings. Judi will also discuss important deductions such as medical and child care – and common tax problems, including IRA withdrawals, sales of a stock or mutual fund, home sales, income from an estate or trust, and taxable Social Security – as well as the increasingly problematic issue of identity theft and false tax returns. And, finally, find out what you can expect for 2018 - as well as what the IRS and IL are up to – with their issues of identity theft and customer service, increased matching of income items, active pursuit of non filers and audits of filed returns.
